Celebrating 25 Years of Excellence — Thank You, Karen

Twenty-five years ago Karen walked through these doors and quietly became one of the most important people this organisation has ever had. She has shaped our culture in ways that are impossible to fully measure. On behalf of the entire company: thank you, Karen. Genuinely and deeply.

Karen has been the backbone of this team since before half of us arrived. She has trained us, covered for us, championed us, and made us all better at our jobs. We cannot imagine this department without her and we are so grateful for every year of it.

I joined a year after Karen and I still feel like the new one. That is entirely her fault for being so effortlessly competent at everything. Congratulations on 25 years, Karen. I hope the next 25 involve a lot more holidays.

I was terrified on my first day and Karen came and found me, made me a coffee, and spent an hour just talking me through everything. She didn't have to do that. That is exactly who she is. Three years on and I am still learning from her every week.
